Corruption in the Truman White House . . . and Writing About It. In-Person
Dr. Bob Greene, former professor at Cazenovia College and panelist on WCNY's "Ivory Tower,” will speak about his newest book, Little Helpers: Harry Vaughan, His Cronies, and Corruption in the Truman Administration (2024, University of Missouri Press). Dr. Greene's talk will center on both Vaughan and Truman's role in fostering a culture of corruption in the White House, how it was exposed by Congress, and why the Truman Scandals have not been widely studied by historians. . He will also discuss the process of writing and publishing his latest book, which will be made available to attendees at a discount price.
